Veteran TV Actor Anwar Iqbal Passes Away

Popular TV entertainer Anwar Iqbal has passed away, as confirmed by the veteran TV actor’s family.

The reason for death is at this point unclear. The actor’s funeral prayers will be performed after Isha’s supplication today.

The Veteran actor had been persistently sick for quite a while and had given a proclamation on Saturday requesting that his fans pray to Allah for his wellbeing and regard his isolation while battling for his life.




“I have had a serious illness for quite a while and I have been getting the most ideal therapy under the care of the Karachi Medical Council.

The veteran TV actor acquired notoriety for his work in the hit show Shama.




He proceeded to star in Naseem Hijazi’s play Akhri Chattan in the mid 1980’s and featured in various Urdu and Sindhi dramas.

He played out his directorial debut with show Ishq Pecha in 1984 and directed certain dramas in Urdu and Sindhi.

Anwar completed his masters from the University of Karachi, he has also been teaching at a private school and was a prominent actor, director and a producer.
